Electronics Assembly

For each product, Logicom employs a mix of the following processes to offer low cost manufacturing while maintaining stringent quality control:

 

Unleaded Soldering – Logicom is already using unleaded solder in mounting SMD and manual soldering in manufacturing products that meet future European environmental regulations

 

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) – Logicom has an SMT production cell with screen printing, pick and place, and reflow and curing contained in a clean room to ensure minimum defects.

 

IC to PCB Wire Bonding – Logicom employs 12 wire-bonding machines. After the leads are attached, each article must pass QC testing before being sealed with epoxy resin and baked

Through Hole Soldering – For those components that are either not offered or economically impractical for SMT, manual insertion and soldering is offered

 

Manual Component Insertion – For products with modular components, Logicom employs trained assembly staff to manually insert components such as printer modules and LCD displays onto the PCB

 

Automatic Parts Insertion - For automatic insertion of through hole parts onto the PCB

 

Silkscreen Printing – Logicom is highly experienced in silkscreen printing, consistently reproducing quality circuits in silver paste or other conductive materials
